Barış played in a professional basketball club called EFES PILSEN for ten years, after he continued his career in several other clubs. Even though he played different kind of sports (such as volleyball, athletics, tennis etc.) basketball was his passion. Before his unfortunate Achilles tendon injury operation, 2002-2003 was his career milestone, a professional agreement had been signed to EFES PILSEN Basketball Club. He achieved BAHCESEHIR UNIVERSITY full scholarship statue. In 2011 he was chosen as BEST PHOTO MODEL at BEST MODEL Of TURKEY competition. After his success he began professional modeling worldwide places like Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Brazil, Germany, France. While he continued his modelling career, he studied acting getting private lectures from very popular acting coaches such as Bahar Kerimoğlu, Serkan Atar and Ahmet Kaynak. BARIŞ now continues his professional career as an actor under the umbrella of very talented managers. BARIŞ attracted the attention of the media both domestic and international he also did many photo shoots, interviews, commercials and tv shows. For example, he worked as a model for D’squared (Dan-Dean brothers) advertainments. He also acted on KOCAMIN AİLESİ (My husband got a Family) this was his first professional acting experience as a AKIN character. This made him become popular in the film industry. He then preformed in KOCAMIN AİLESİ (My husband got a Family), KİRALIK AŞK (HIRED LOVE), EYMEN. ŞEVKAT YERİMDAR, SOSYETİK GELİN (Classy Bride). He was awarded the ‘BEST ACTOR’ award. In 2020, he competed in Survivor, the most watched competition of Turkey and broadcast on TV8 by the famous producer Acun Ilıcalı. He made it to the finals in the competition and came in second. In 2021, he released a book and a song called “Herşeye Rağmen”(Despite Everything about his life). He acted in the movie of PRESTIJ MELESI (A MATTER OF PRESTIGE)
